A Net Around the Cloud

Priced September 18, 2025

Netskope spent thirteen years as a private company before it rang the bell. It sat between employees and the internet. It saw which cloud apps they used, what data they moved, and whether a file should leave the company at all. By 2025, workers were also pasting company data into AI tools, and Netskope sold security for cloud and AI. It went public that September with $707 million in annual recurring revenue, up 33 percent in a year.

Thirteen Years Private

Sanjay Beri and Krishna Narayanaswamy founded Netskope in May 2012. Beri became chief executive and Narayanaswamy chief technology officer. The bet was that security had to follow data into the cloud, since the old office firewall could no longer see it. Netskope combined security and networking in one service. It grew from Santa Clara, California, and stayed private until 2025.

Top of the Range

Netskope priced at $19 a share, the top of its range, on September 17, 2025. It sold 47.8 million shares and raised $908.2 million. The stock began trading on the Nasdaq the next day under the ticker NTSK and rose about 18 percent on its first day. For the fiscal year that ended in January 2026, revenue reached $709 million, up from $538 million a year earlier. It is still public on the Nasdaq.
